Dealing with Change
What do managing lodge activity, continuing education, keeping up on legal matters, and customer service improvements all have in common?
They are topics that fraternal benefit societies are focusing on to remain viable entities, attractive to consumers, and in tune with 21st Century industry regulations.
These were some of the highlights of the 2006 Annual Convention of the Wisconsin Fraternal Congress and Wisconsin Fraternal Insurance Counselors September 28-29 at the Best Western Bridgewood Resort Hotel in Neenah, Wisconsin.
Two afternoon educational sessions were available for attendees. The first featured Wisconsin Attorneys Mark Rogers and Wayne Wilson discussed changes in Medicaid planning, long-term care, and IRAs following the Deficit Reform Act of 2/2006. The second session included NFCA General Counsel Todd Martin sharing legal requirements for fraternal lodge websites, nontraditional lodges, and lodge regulations.
